Parallel London

Are you up to the Parallel London fun run challenge?

Can you run, walk or push for Reading Mencap?

After the success of Team Reading Mencap who took part in the first Parallel London fun run event last year we are hoping to enter a team again this year. Parallel London is a fully accessible fun run designed for all ages and abilities—anything goes. Anyone—including children—can take part and choose from four distances—100m, 1km, 5km or 10km. There are no cut off times and you can run, walk or push!

Taking place at London’s Olympic Park on Sunday 3rd September, anyone with any kind of disability or long-term condition can take part, although you don’t have to be disabled to take part. The emphasis is on completing a challenge and having fun rather than racing to the finish. There will also be a family festival to enjoy on the day with plenty of attractions.

We are looking for people to take part and raise at least £100 each in sponsorship to cover the costs of the entry fee and raise vital funds for Reading Mencap. People with a disability can take along a family member, friend or carer free of charge to accompany them on the day.

If you would like to sponsor our team, you can do so here.

If you are interested in taking part, please email office@readingmencap.org.uk or call 0118 966 2518.
