ME (Mencap Enables) is an exciting new day activity service which is user led, so that members are enabled to make their own decisions and choices about how their service is run and what activities they do. The aim of the service is to build on the individual members' strengths and encourage them to support one another to become stronger.
The activities that members have planned to date include yoga, football, climbing, zumba, tennis, cooking, drama and crafts, as well as out and about in the community attending events, or just having a nice day out in the country, or on the river.
The service runs at 21 Alexandra Road on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30 to 4.00. The Tuesday group is specially for 18 to 30 year olds.
For more information and to ask about fees, telephone the office on 0118 9662518 during office hours 9.30am to 1.30pm, Monday to Friday.
