Preparations for planting our allotment were in full swing when Coffee Club visited the Museum of English Rural Life (MERL). A big thank you to MERL for letting the club have the allotment for another year – ambitious plans are in place to plant ingredients that will eventually be turned into a delicious three-course meal!
The group worked hard on thinking about what they could plant that they could eventually cook. So far, soup for starters and fruit salad for dessert are on the menu.
Members thoroughly enjoyed getting some exercise in the fresh air while they prepared the bed ready for planting when they return later in May.
Grateful thanks also to the club's good friend Robyn, for donating a flower press to Coffee Club, which will be used throughout the summer months to create their very own bunting.
Some magnificent flower pressing has already been carried out!
